Frequently Asked Questions

Is this class for me?

This is a come as you are class. While this class requires getting up and down from the floor, I’ll be offering a variety of options to support various experience levels and physical abilities. You do not need previous yoga experience, just show up with curiosity! If you are an experienced practitioner, I’ll offer variations to help you deepen your practice. If you’re still wondering if it’s a good fit, feel free to email me with any questions.

What if I have to miss a class?

These classes will be running live on zoom and will be recorded. You will have access to the class recordings for the entire run of the series, offering you maximum scheduling flexibility.

What do I need for class?

  • You’ll need a space that’s at least large enough for a mat. If you happen to have wall space available, you may want to use it to support some poses.
  • A yoga mat will offer nice padding and grip. If you’re buying a mat for the first time, I recommend one that’s 5mm or 6mm thick for some added cushioning.
  • 2 yoga blocks are great to have on hand. Alternatively, a couple of thick books can often work too!
  • A water bottle
  • Wear clothes that aren’t too bulky and allow for a free range of movement
  • I may suggest that you explore other props (like a pillow, towel or scarf) to support some poses. I’ll send out an email in advance so that you can gather what you’d like to have available.
  • Optional: Have a notebook handy for after class.

Testimonials

Mandy offers a perfect combination of physical practice and intention setting that translates directly to more openness – for creative flow, expression, generating new ideas, or simply getting more heart-human. Mandy’s sense of humor, expertise, and perspective as a fellow artist make her so easy to trust. The chakra-centered structure of the course really helped me focus attention on inviting ease into specific physical areas and also helped me align my whole system.

Bess

Yoga with Mandy in all forms is inspiring, energizing, and restorative. She creates a community that I look forward to each week.  Her meditations open up space to specifically invite and encourage creation.

Jen
